I thought--I must not have chosen the right option.

The director offered me one of the biggest parts of the movie after he heard me sing. He wants me to play Mao Nome.

...I don't understand how she would think at all. She fell in love with the man her sister loved, but how? Or maybe the question would be why? I can't play someone I don't understand. All I would do is mess up and I don't think I'm good enough for this anyway.

Love is something difficult to understand... mm, that's my impression, anyway. Sometimes people can't communicate their feelings, or don't want to, or fall in love with people they shouldn't. But it's the sort of thing that understanding doesn't really seem to come naturally to. I'm not sure that Mao herself knew why she did what she did... so isn't it the case that you could learn while she's learning?
